Join Pastor and Medical/Hospice Chaplain Rev. Dr. Rick Helein BCC for this Christ-centered, biblically based workshop. This gathering and workshop is for anyone who has lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend through death but is useful for navigating any of the many losses we suffer in this life.
Together we will learn how to journey through our grief with the help of God. Whether you are challenged by a recent loss, a loss from the past, or wanting to know more about caring for a grieving friend – this event is for you! I look forward to meeting you and supporting you through this challenging time in your life. God promises in His Word, to give us beauty for our ashes and joy for our mourning. (Isaiah 61:3)
Participants will explore questions such as what is grief and how does one get through it? The power of our sacred stories, various spiritual practices designed to promote comfort in our grief, and the church’s as well as the Christian’s role in ministering to the grieving soul.
Workshop will begin Directly after the October 8th 11am Church Service from 1pm to 3pm. Lunch will be provided.
